Ravenclaw pride!

I'm really only posting this because I wanted to show you all my new scarf. If you follow me on Instagram (@curlsncakes) you will have already seen it.

The Harry Potter fan in me could not resist getting this Ravenclaw scarf from The Mad Girl Shop on Etsy. I've talked about this scarf previously, and I told you then how much I wanted this scarf and finally I got it. I suppose you could say it was another Christmas present from me, to me.

Anyway, the lovely and sweet Madison Steward (@madisonsteward) of The Mad Girl Shop makes these incredible Hogwarts scarves. It is knitted with a warm and soft yarn so it is super comfortable and perfect for cold winters (something that we used to have here in Sweden, but global warming happened). They are so accurate to how they look in the films. They look more like the scarves in the movies than the official Hogwarts scarves that you can buy at places that sell official Harry Potter merch. I know this because I also have one of those scarves. Of course...

If you're ever planning on getting a Hogwarts scarf I would probably say that the best one you can get is from The Mad Girl Shop. And besides, you'd be supporting a small business of handmade items! What's better than that!

Much love!

  1. I always felt like I'd be sorted into Ravenclaw if I got into Hogwarts (or maybe Hufflepuff lol)! That scarf looks like such a good quality knit, and the navy looks perfect with your red lip too *__* <3

    1. Yeah you do strike me as a Ravenclaw. Have you done the Pottermore sorting? I was so scared doing it, because I was so sure that I had to be in Ravenclaw, and what if the sorting would put me in another house. But luckily I didn't have to worry about that, because I was put in Ravenclaw also by the Pottermore sorting.
It's such a good quality. It's so good that I'm almost afraid to wear it, because I might ruin it. Thanks darling ;D The red lipstick was specifically for the scarf, haha!

  2. This scarf looks so cosy and warm and pretty! The knit seems perfect, that is a great job indeed and you definitely chose the right scarf. Funnily enough, Ravenclaw is the only scarf that isn't in my collection - I have the other three, next I'll be getting Ravenclaw, for sure! :P
Are you going to wear it outside? I always love seeing people with HP scarves in the streets :D

    1. Really? You have almost all the houses? Which house are you in yourself? I'm guessing it's not Ravenclaw... ;D haha
The scarf really is perfectly made, there is not a single thing wrong with it - it's so professional and beautiful.
I am going to wear it outside :D I love seeing people wear HP scarves too, I usually gasp and point at them until the spot me. haha. I just get so excited.

      Much love,

  4. You touched a soft spot...Your post was the final motivational push I needed to acquire one for myself... the question is, which house? Need to settle the house-limbo I've perpetually found myself in first (Kind of a hufflepuff-ravenclaw hybrid).
As an earlier comment mentioned, your lip shade is so fitting with the scarf (kind of nautical too) :)

    1. Haha that make me so happy Sumeyye!!
Which one would you choose between Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw - because the hat takes that into consideration ;) Or you could always try Pottermore's sorting hat test, I'm sure it's still out there on the internet somewhere. JK Rowling herself design that test so it's as canon as it gets...
      Thank you so much sweetie!

  6. I don't need to add another scarf to my collection...BUT I CAN'T RESIST. I checked out The Mad Girl Shop, but I'm not seeing anything listed at the moment! I'm going to have to check with her and see about getting my hands on a Gryffindor scarf.

You look like you've come straight out of the books! I can just picture you walking through the courtyards. :-)

They tend to get picked up really quick, so you need to keep your eyes peeled.

Ahh, thank you! Best compliment ever!! <3 <3

  7. Love it! I guess I'd need a Hufflepuff one since Pottermore says that's my house... It's too bad it's not cold enough here most of the winter for an actual winter scarf.

    1. Thank you! Oh you're a Hufflepuff!! I always say the best people are Hufflepuffs. Yeah, that's a bit sad, but maybe you can keep other parts cooler and your neck real warm and toasty :P haha
