Curls & Cakes: blogiversary

Hello all you lovely people!
As you may or may not know Curls & Cakes first blogiversary is coming up (on Tuesday the 3rd of May to be exact). I cannot believe that it has been a year. I've had so much fun, I've "met" a lot of beautiful and intelligent people, have had the best conversations, both about serious topics and about everyday things and have enjoyed every minute of it.

This community that has formed around Curls & Cakes makes me delighted. I have found like-minded people that I care about a great deal, true friends that I cherish. This blog might not be the biggest and best, but what we have is beautiful, and every day I am grateful for it.

I want to express my gratitude towards you, and I thought the chance to win a dress from my favourite brand would hopefully show you how much I care about you all.

Those who have followed the blog for a while will know that my favourite brand is the wonderfully dreamy brand, Book of Deer, of the super talented and all-round beautiful person Eilidh Ho. Eilidh and I got together to bring you this wonderful giveaway, where you'll have the chance to win any dress from the Book of Deer shop. It will be the winner's choice.

The reason why Book of Deer is my favourite brand is because it is one of a kind. Eilidh designs the pieces herself and hand draws the prints - making them so unique and special. There's a lot of hard work and dedication going into the collections and it really shows in the final pieces. They are always perfect and dainty to the minuscule details.

I adore every piece I have from Book of Deer, and find myself wearing them over and over. I almost feel like the pieces are like collectibles. They are definitely the quality of collectibles, but they are also very precious. I have personally managed to collect pieces from every collection except for SS13 (Eilidh, we need to fix that! Next sample sale, please save a SS13 piece for me if you have any left!) as I didn't know about Book of Deer back then.

I quickly wore the Marshmallow dress outdoors as soon as it was warm enough to go barelegged, which was only this weekend. We've had fantastic weather these past couple of days, and it finally feels like spring is here! So personally I felt very lucky strolling around in my Marshmallow dress, thinking about how this blog is turning 1 year!
